"When it comes to shower filters, I didn’t really think there was much difference from one shower filter to the next. But when I started using the Weddell Duo I quickly found out I was wrong.“

Replacement Cartridges FAQs

How often do I need to replace the filter cartridges?

You should change your filters if any of the following occurs: 1) 5-6 months has passed, 2) you notice decreased water pressure and/or filter discoloration, or 3) when the rated capacity of the filter cartridge has been reached.

The frequency of replacement depends on your water usage and the quality of your water supply. Regular replacement ensures that your shower water remains clean and safe.

How do I replace the filters?

Replacing the filters is easy! The Weddell Duo's clear dual-cartridge system allows you to monitor their condition. Simply remove the filter cartridges chambers by gently turning them counter clockwise twist and replace. No tools are required.

Why are my filters slowing down before the suggested lifespan?

Factors like hard or highly contaminated tap water, heavy sediment, or frequent use can cause your filters to slow down sooner than expected. This is because the filters are capturing more material than typical municipal water, and as it works harder to remove contaminants, the available space for water to pass through becomes filled. While the water flow may slow, this doesn’t mean the filters are defective—it means it’s doing its job effectively. The more contaminants and materials it captures, the sooner it will need to be replaced.

Do the filters remove the same contaminants regardless of which set I buy?

Yes, all our replacement filters are designed to provide the same high level of filtration, removing chlorine, PFAS, and particulates while maintaining excellent water flow.

What’s the difference between the three types of replacement filters?

  • Twin Pack Replacement Cartridges: Includes two full sets of filters (2 black and 2 white), providing two full replacements.
  • Full Set + Extra Filters: Includes one full set of filters (1 black and 1 white) plus two extra white sediment filters, offering three replacements in total.
