"Weddell Duo is the only shower filter on the market to be NSF certified and verified to reduce PFAS. It not only meets rigorous industry standards but also addresses real concerns about harmful contaminants that can affect your health."

"When it comes to shower filters, I didn’t really think there was much difference from one shower filter to the next. But when I started using the Weddell Duo I quickly found out I was wrong.“

Replacement Cartridges FAQs

How often do I need to replace the filter cartridges?

You should change your filters if any of the following occurs: 1) 5-6 months has passed, 2) you notice decreased water pressure and/or filter discoloration, or 3) when the rated capacity of the filter cartridge has been reached.

The frequency of replacement depends on your water usage and the quality of your water supply. Regular replacement ensures that your shower water remains clean and safe.

How do I replace the filters?

Replacing the filters is easy! The Weddell Duo's clear dual-cartridge system allows you to monitor their condition. Simply remove the filter cartridges chambers by gently turning them counter clockwise twist and replace. No tools are required.

Why are my filters slowing down before the suggested lifespan?

Factors like hard or highly contaminated tap water, heavy sediment, or frequent use can cause your filters to slow down sooner than expected. This is because the filters are capturing more material than typical municipal water, and as it works harder to remove contaminants, the available space for water to pass through becomes filled. While the water flow may slow, this doesn’t mean the filters are defective—it means it’s doing its job effectively. The more contaminants and materials it captures, the sooner it will need to be replaced.

Do the filters remove the same contaminants regardless of which set I buy?

Yes, all our replacement filters are designed to provide the same high level of filtration, removing chlorine, PFAS, and particulates while maintaining excellent water flow.

What’s the difference between the three types of replacement filters?

  • Full Set: Includes just one full set of filters (1 black and 1 white) for a single replacement.
  • Twin Pack Replacement Cartridges: Includes two full sets of filters (2 black and 2 white), providing two full replacements.
  • Full Set + Extra Filters: Includes one full set of filters (1 black and 1 white) plus two extra white sediment filters, offering three replacements in total.

Wish I could recommend to everyone I know

They just need to be replaced in 3-4 weeks, tops! They work amazing when they’re new and you can really feel the difference, but it’s just too pricey to have to replace once a month. I really wish I could give 5 stars and tell every person I know to get one, but I can’t because of the annual cost of filters

Filters only lasted one use each. I have used these filters before and they typically last about a month with my water quality. This time, each time I showered I had to replace the filters because the water pressure diminished to that of zero and the filter collapsed. Pretty disappointed with the performance, especially with the cost of these filters.

Great for apartment living!

Immediate improvement in water quality. Very happy with this water filter. My hair and skin immediately felt better. Just wished it lasted longer. For two people, a set of filters only lasts about a month. However, I am willing to pay that premium to have better water quality.

Good but fast turnaround on the filters

The cartridges are really easy to replace, which is nice. I can see the filter changing color over time making me think its working. All great things, but just be ready to change the filters quickly. They do not "ensure monthS of clean contaminant-free water" for my household of two. The water pressure goes down immensely within a month when I'm forced to change the filter. That's great, that means its working but the reality of the time frame of filter changes for real households should be made more clear on the website.
I ordered the filter and replacements in December and fitted my shower easily by the end of December. It is now March and I am replacing the filters for the second time. I am getting way less than 8,000 gallons per filter in a household of two. The site makes sure to put an asterisk by that number to make sure they aren't held to that standard (depending on local water conditions). I live in the Great Lakes Region and have looked up my local water's conditions. I'd think the filters would last more than a month. I just was surprised by the fast turn around after researching this filter, reading the website thoroughly, and spending hours researching water filters.
I'll definitely buy again but I think it would be helpful for transparency...poll your customers and ask how long their filters last and publish that with the household # of people on the site. That would be helpful information for customers who are trying to make truly informed purchases. That would avoid surprises or making them feel a bit duped later.

Finally A Practical, Affordable, and Aesthetic Shower Filter

Looks way better than Aquabliss and it maintains pressure with a ceiling mounted setup. Water feels soft and I no longer have red eyes from showering.
