Carolina, you have an incredible background blending psychology, pilates, yoga, and nutrition. What inspired you to pursue a career in holistic wellness?
My journey into holistic wellness began with a profound curiosity about the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. With a BA in Psychology from Richmond University and certifications in yoga, Pilates, and nutritional health coaching, I recognized that true well-being encompasses more than just physical fitness; it requires nurturing mental and emotional health as well. This realization led me to create SWAN by Carolina, a space where diverse disciplines harmoniously converge to promote comprehensive wellness.

A core part of your mission is empowering women to embrace their unique beauty and confidence. What does self-care mean to you in that context?
Self-care is the practice of honoring your own self and nurturing yourself with kindness. It’s about creating rituals that feel right for you—whether through movement, mindfulness, or simple daily habits. When you embrace who you are, that makes you unique and commit to caring for yourself, you build inner confidence and as a consequence radiate true beauty. At SWAN, I encourage women to explore practices that align with who they are. I believe in sustainable practices, this is why, at Swan I give options of all kinds.

April is National Stress Awareness Month. How do you personally manage stress, and what role does movement play in stress reduction?
I choose to live with intention, designing my days to avoid unnecessary busyness. Instead of rushing through life, I align my activities with my natural rhythm. Practicing SWAN is a non-negotiable part of my routine—movement not only lifts my mood by releasing endorphins but also fuels my energy and joy. This commitment to self-care keeps me feeling vibrant and reminds me that prioritizing myself isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. I share how to prioritize on my app because I truly want every woman in the world to experience this way of living!

What advice would you give to women who are just beginning their wellness journey and feel overwhelmed?
Starting a wellness journey can indeed feel difficult. My advice is to begin with small, manageable steps and listen to your body’s cues. Consistency is more impactful than intensity; I always say: It is best if you do 15 minutes a day, then if you do 2 hours one day and then do nothing for 5 days. This is why in SWAN I have created a variety of programs tailored to different levels and preferences, allowing women to find what resonates best with them and progress at their own pace.

How important is clean water for overall wellness? Have you noticed any benefits since incorporating Weddell Duo into your routine?
Incorporating a shower filter into my routine has been transformative. By eliminating impurities like chlorine and heavy metals, it has preserved my skin’s natural hydration. Notably, my hair has become smoother and shinier—a change I absolutely love.
What’s next for you and SWAN by Carolina? Are there any exciting projects or initiatives you’re currently working on?
Yes, I’m thrilled to share that we’re elevating the SWAN experience to a whole new level. Our upcoming initiatives aim to bring our community closer together and offer fresh, enriching content. While I can’t reveal all the details just yet, I can assure you that what’s coming is going to be epic. Stay tuned for more updates!

We often hear that some of the best ideas come to us in the shower. Have you had any interesting shower thoughts lately, especially related to your work or wellness?
I can relate! I often have those insightful thoughts just as I’m drifting off to sleep, only to forget them by morning. It’s a common experience, and many of us share that “aha” moment slipping away overnight. Some find it helpful to keep a notepad by the bed to jot down these late-night inspirations before they fade.
A heartfelt thank you to Carolina for being part of this conversation and for all she does through SWAN to uplift women. This Stress Awareness Month, we’re proud to highlight voices that encourage balance, empowerment, and intentional self-care.
