Weddell Duo
The Weddell Duo uses a two-step, directional filtration system designed to filter shower water efficiently while maintaining strong water pressure. Water flows from top to bottom through each stage, allowing each filter to do its job without restricting flow.

Water entry
Shower water enters the Weddell Duo through the top connection and flows downward through the filtration system.

Step 1: Sediment Filter
Water first passes through the white sediment filter, which captures larger particulates such as sand, rust, and sediment. This initial stage helps protect the carbon filter and supports consistent water flow.

Step 2: Activated Carbon Filter
After sediment filtration, water flows through the black activated carbon filter, which reduces chlorine and other chemical contaminants commonly associated with skin and scalp dryness or irritation.

Filtered water exit
Once filtered through both stages, water exits through the bottom of the unit and continues to the shower head.
How to install

Detach shower head
Remove your existing shower head. Make sure the shower arm threads are clean and free of debris. Confirm both O-rings are properly seated.

Install
Hand-tighten the Weddell Duo onto the shower arm. If needed, apply 2–3 wraps of plumber’s tape to ensure a secure seal.

Reattach
Reattach your shower head to the bottom of the Weddell Duo and ensure the unit is aligned straight. Run water for 3 minutes to flush the filter, your shower is now ready to use.

Will installing Weddell Duo affect water pressure?
Weddell Duo is designed to have minimal impact on water pressure. Since our maximum Gallons Per Minute (GPM) rate is 2.8 GPM, which is much higher than typical shower heads (2.5 GPM or less), your overall water pressure will be determined not by Weddell Duo, but by your shower head.
However, as Weddell Duo reaches its full capacity, the accumulation of filtered impurities may slow down the water pressure. This is an indication that it's time to replace the filter cartridges to ensure optimal performance and maintain water pressure.

We love our Weddell
Our Weddell filter has been a great addition to our shower! We live on an island and our water is from a water maker and thus is pumped full of chlorine which destroys my hair and skin....the filter has been a huge improvement for this concern and has made a world of difference in my hair. The only issue I have to complain about is that our back up filters seemed to be full of mold. As soon as we switched to our second set of filters our whole shower system grew mold and I broke out in hives from it (I have a mold allergy). The third set of filters seem to be just fine so I think it was just a fluke, but it was annoying to have to undue our whole sort of elaborate shower head system to flush everything of mold and to have to throw out brand new filters as well as be covered in super itchy hives for weeks. So, here is hoping we never get a moldy set again! Other than that- we love the Weddell and it is definitely great at filtering out chlorine!
