Jenna & Jill are wellness advocates, podcast hosts, and the founders of Gut Talk, a platform dedicated to making digestive health approachable, empowering, and accessible. Drawing from their own experiences with bloating, food sensitivities, and the challenges of navigating gut health, the sisters created a space where women can feel seen, supported, and encouraged to take back their well-being.

Their expertise spans gut health education, lifestyle and habit building, nervous system support, and fostering community through candid conversations that normalize digestive struggles. With a philosophy rooted in daily rituals, self-compassion, and balance, Jenna and Jill inspire their audience to embrace wellness as a journey rather than a quick fix.

Jenna and Jill, can you share a bit about your personal health journeys and what inspired you to launch Gut Talk together?

Honestly, both of us went through phases where our digestion felt like it controlled our whole lives. Bloating, food fears, constant frustration… you name it. What really inspired us to start GUT TALK was realizing how isolating gut issues can feel — and wanting to create a space where women could feel seen, understood, and actually empowered to take back their health. We always say it’s like the podcast/account we wish we had when we were struggling.

You’ve built a loyal audience by making gut health feel approachable and real. What are some of the biggest misconceptions you see people have about digestive health?

Where do we begin…That there’s a quick fix. That having gut issues is “normal.” That you can’t cure your IBS…the list goes on!! The gut is super complex — it’s connected to your hormones, mood, energy, even your skin. A lot of people think one supplement or one elimination diet will magically solve everything, but it’s really about consistency, nervous system support, and daily habits. And also… digestion doesn’t have to be talked about in such a clinical, scary way. It can be lighthearted, it can be normal, because literally everyone poops.

Stress, gut health, and daily habits are all so connected. What are some rituals or mindset shifts that have helped you feel your best?

Morning movement — a non-negotiable. Getting sunlight and movement first thing sets the tone for our digestion and our mental health. Also, learning how to actually slow down when we eat — because your nervous system has to feel safe to digest well. And honestly, giving ourselves permission to not be perfect. The all-or-nothing mindset was way harder on our guts than anything we were eating.

You recently started using the Weddell Duo. What role does water quality play in your wellness routines, and have you noticed any benefits since making the switch to filtered shower water?

This one surprised us. We were already picky about what went into our bodies, but then realized…our skin and lungs are literally absorbing shower water every single day. Since switching, our skin feels less dry, hair feels softer, and it just gives us peace of mind knowing we’re not showering in chlorine or forever chemicals. It feels like one of those small swaps that adds up big over time.

You’ve built such an inspiring wellness brand as sisters. How do you support each other while maintaining balance between your business and personal lives?

It’s definitely a dance, but the fact that we’re sisters makes everything more honest. We know when the other one needs space, when to push each other, and when to just go get a cocktail instead of talking about work. Having that balance — being both business partners and sisters who actually enjoy life together — keeps us from burning out, but don’t get us wrong, it can definitely be hard sometimes!!

What’s next for Gut Talk Girls? Are there any exciting new projects or collaborations you’re working on?

We’re entering a new era with the podcast — bringing in more conversations around being girls in our late 20s/early 30s, having guests who you wouldn’t expect to be on a "health & wellness” podcast (that’s a hint!), combined with hormones, nervous system health, and lifestyle while still keeping gut health at the core. We’ve got some dream guests lined up, a couple collabs in the works, and focusing on just continuing to grow our amazing community. Let’s just put it out there that the next 12 months are going to be big for us!!

We often hear that some of the best ideas come to us in the shower. Have you had any interesting shower thoughts lately, especially related to your work or wellness?

I (Jenna) was actually telling a friend the other day that I come up with most of our content ideas in the shower. I think it’s because that’s when my mind clears, and new thoughts are able to come to fruition.

A recent thought I shared on TikTok was that if people can be delusional about getting what they want — a new job, money, attracting love, etc. — then why can’t the same mindset be applied to health? Essentially, we can use manifestation and law of attraction principles to create the gut health, skin, and body of our dreams!

A heartfelt thank you to Jenna & Jill for sharing their story and for the work they do through Gut Talk to make digestive health approachable and empowering. We’re proud to highlight voices that champion sisterhood, balance, and intentional self-care.
